What to expect from the most innovative leadership program of the year --The NJSBA Forum on Women's Leadership in the Law.

Join us as one of the country's leading experts on gender diversity and equality in the workplace, Patricia Gillette, offers insights and practical tips on how we can level the playing field for women and minorities. She will focus on how to enhance and improve communication and presentation skills with colleagues, superiors, clients and judges. Gillette will provide an overview on the current status of women an the latest research on the topic of gender equity.

The program will then head into a panel discussion about the opportunities and obstacles facing women in government, the business sector and legal community with a panel of amazing women including Tracy Thompson, New Jersey's Acting Insurance Fraud Prosecutor, Ann Kappler, the chief legal officer for corporate services at Prudential Financial, law firm founders Jeralyn L. Lawrence and Liza M. Walsh, Christine Amalfe, one of the state's leading rainmakers, and Norberto A. Garcia, a hiring partner at Javerbaum Wurgaft.
Attendees will also participate in a dynamic and interactive role playing workshop session where they will have the opportunity to practice and get expert feedback on their presentation skills in the context of "real world" situations, including:

How to ask for a raise;
What to do when you want a promotion or leadership opportunities;
How to make the most of networking activities; and
What you should say in pitching for new business.
