Speakers include:
Brian Dean Abramson, Esq., LL..M
Author,
Vaccine, Vaccination, and Immunization Law
(Bloomberg Law/AHLA 2018)
Arlington, VA
Phyllis Widman, Esq.
Widman Law Firm, LLC, Linwood
About The Program:
The rollout of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in New Jersey has begun in a step-by-step process with the goal of vaccinating 70% of all adults who live, work or are educated in the state by June.
However, the roll-out has come with some controversy and many questions persist. For example, is there any recourse to someone who suffers an injury from receiving the vaccine? What policies would be reasonable for an employer to put into place re: requiring vaccines? Where do religious objections come into play? If an employer requires, or strongly encourages vaccination, could they be liable to employees who have adverse health effects related to the COVID-19 vaccine?
Join Brian Abramson, author of Bloomberg Law’s “Vaccine, Vaccination and Immunization Law” and Phyllis Widman, a seasoned attorney who practices in vaccine injury, as they present this extremely timely program.
They will start off by providing a primer on vaccine law. Next, the course will delve into questions involving testing, what kinds of legal cases have developed and may be still expected to develop, the latest issues involving COVID-19 vaccines, and how vaccine injury law may be impacted.
