•	Business Entity Planning – New Partnership Audit Rules create potential tax traps for the unwary. Partnerships and LLCs need to plan for these soon-to-be implemented rules which may require re-thinking of standard provisions of agreements and modifications to agreements NOW!! A tax assessment at the entity level, a partnership representative who can bind the partners with the IRS and new partners paying the tax freight for prior years are just some of the critical issues. Alan Kornstein, Esq. and Art DiPadova, Esq. will address all of the key issues of these Audit Rules that all practitioners who represent equity owners of Partnerships or LLCs or draft Partnership and Operating Agreements need to know.
•	Ethics – By Popular Demand!! – Ethical considerations are no less important in the tax arena than any other area of practice. The ever-increasing use of technology furthers those considerations. Also, get a fresh look at an attorney’s duty to explain agreements to client. Andy DeMaio and Gianfranco Pietrafesa will lead a panel which will address ethical concerns which affect all of us. Might as well obtain Ethics Credits with information that is critically important to your practice!!
•	Estate and Gift Tax Update – The annual trio of Rich Greenberg, Glenn Henkel and Jerry Deener will address the critical judicial and administrative developments in the estate and gift tax arena – along with the usual sports updates!! The IRS attack on self-canceling installment notes (SCINs), Treasury Regulations affecting minority discounts, the QTIP-Portability conundrum plus other hot topics will be addressed in detail.
