While the program is always well received, this year the topics are of particular importance to those who practice in tax, estate planning – and related – arenas. Planning in a World of Tax Uncertainty, Traps for the Unwary in the LLC/Partnership Arena and ETHICS – with Practical Tips (as well as your required credits) will make the program a benefit to all.

Why You Need To Attend
Massive changes AND uncertainty exist in Washington, and the potential impact on your practice cannot be understated. Tax practitioners (and the clients you represent) have heard the announcement from Washington about the sweeping tax changes, but what will happen, when it will happen, and what the implications of these changes are remains very unclear. The President announced a massive overhaul including a repeal of the estate tax, reduction in the number of federal income tax brackets, reduction in corporate tax rates, and no more AMT – but only if Congress acts.

There is no one better to offer the insight and direction we need than our annual guest presenter Jonathan Blattmachr. Jonathan will provide us with his thoughts and information on what we can expect going forward. Those who have heard Jonathan know of his wealth of knowledge and sensational presentation skills. Planning in a World of Uncertainty.
In addition to the uncertainty surrounding the future of the estate and gift tax at the Federal Level, New Jersey is also experiencing its own period of change. A recently enacted a new and different New Jersey Estate Tax regime is now in place for 2017 (it’s much more than just an increased exemption) – and while much debate exists about its direction, attorneys must understand all of the challenges it presents. Register today to hear two of New Jersey’s top experts (Glenn Henkel and Rich Greenberg ), as they take you through the maze of uncertainty and provide you with specific strategies and tips on how to prepare estate plans in an environment where the existence of either a Federal or New Jersey estate tax is in question. The panel will also address the most important developments in the transfer tax arena that estate planning practitioners need to know.
