About The Program:

When it comes to cyber and data security, law firms of all sizes are targets because they often inadvertently put their clients’ sensitive and confidential information at risk. While there is no single silver bullet or complete protection solution, managing cyber risk in a holistic fashion will help reduce your legal, ethical and reputational exposure.

- According to NJCCIC, New Jersey’s cybersecurity threat level remains at “Guarded”, which
indicates a risk of increased hacking, virus or other malicious activity.

- According to CSO, cybercrime damage costs are forecast to hit $6 trillion annually by 2021,
and global ransomware damage costs are predicted to exceed $5 billion this year
alone (up from $325 million in 2015 - a 15 X increase in two years).

NJICLE, in conjunction with the newly formed NJSBA Cybersecurity Legal Task Force, has created this all-new Institute to provide a forum for educating the legal profession on data security risks and best practices. As an attendee, you will hear from a diverse range of highly experienced government officials, cybersecurity attorneys, security experts, and public relations and insurance professionals about the current threat landscape and mitigation strategies.
