ATLANTIC CITY: A former New Jersey State Bar Association trustee was sworn in as the organization’s treasurer last night.

Domenick Carmagnola, whose firm is in Morristown, is on track to become president of the state’s leading group for lawyers, judges and legal professionals in 2021

Carmagnola is a certified civil trial attorney, and concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, representing management and individual defendants in both the private and public sector. He has written numerous articles, contributed to several books, and is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment law matters and litigation.

Carmagnola said it was an honor to join the leadership of an organization that has provided him so many opportunities.

“I am grateful for the many tremendous benefits and opportunities the NJSBA has provided to me during my legal career, and for the friendships I have established through it. I look forward to working with the trustees and Executive Committee as we promote the association’s mission and continue its efforts to enhance the practice of law and work to further the interests of our members,” he said

His involvement in the NJSBA is extensive.

He is a former trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, a past chair of its Labor and Employment Law Section and editor of the section’s newsletter. In addition to his NJSBA involvement, he is a former president of the Essex County Bar Association and the Sidney Reitman Labor and Employment Law American Inn of Court.

He lives in Denville with his wife, Gabriella, and two sons, Christopher and Michael.
