NEW BRUNSWICK: Former New Jersey Governor James E. McGreevey will be the special guest at this week’s New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division annual kick-off barbecue. McGreevey will discuss volunteering opportunities for lawyers new to the profession who want to work with prisoner reintegration programs.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.

Since leaving public office, McGreevey has dedicated his time to religious study and counseling former inmates on returning to society. He currently serves as executive director of the Jersey City Employment and Training Program.

The association’s Young Lawyers Division has a longstanding history of public service projects. The division holds several events throughout the year to draft free wills and health directive documents for first responders and organizes clothing drives for Hire Attire Boutique in New Brunswick.

The event is open to all NJSBA members. For additional details and to register, visit
