The New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law is accepting nominations for the first annual Charles J. Hollenbeck Award. The award, which was created in honor of the commission’s recently retired executive director, will recognize an attorney who:
- is licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey,
- is employed by a governmental agency at the federal, state, county, or municipal level, or by a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of the legal community,
- has served with diligence, competence and dedication as an attorney in the profession.
The commission will give preference to individuals who has been largely unrecognized for their service prior to this nomination and/or are members of an under-represented segment of the bar.
Charles J. Hollenbeck, Esq., the award's namesake, dedicated a majority of his nearly four-decade-long career as an attorney to improving the quality of legal services throughout New Jersey.
The award will be presented at the commission’s Professionalism Awards Luncheon, which will be held at The Imperia, in Somerset, on Oct. 29, 2015.
Letters of nomination, setting forth a lawyer’s qualifications, should be sent by Tuesday, Sept. 8 to D. Todd Sidor, Esq., Director of Special CLE Programming, New Jersey Law Center, One Constitution Square, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, or by email to [email protected].
