Edison High School Student Rohit Iyer Wins NJSBA’s Black History Month Trivia Contest

New Brunswick -  Rohit Iyer, a student at JP Stevens High School in Edison won first place in the New Jersey State Bar Association’s annual Black History Month Trivia Contest. It was held at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick on Feb. 19.
Five finalists took part in the contest based on essays they submitted in the Black History Month Essay Contest sponsored by the Association’s Minorities in the Profession Section. High school students from around the state submitted 97 essays.
The other finalists were: Claire Pan, from JP Stevens High School, who finished second and Daniel Onuoha, from Williamstown High School, who took third place. Elizabeth Lee and Chirag Gurukiran, both from JP Stevens High School, were also finalists.
