NJSBA Announces Candidates for Nominating Committee Election, Sets Absentee Ballot Procedures and Calls for Resolutions

As a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s General Council, you are invited to attend the October 16 meeting of the General Council, which will be held at the Law Center in New Brunswick. A registration form is enclosed. Lunch will be available at noon, and the meeting will commence at 1 p.m. The meeting will consist of: 

 The election of a member to a seat on the NJSBA Nominating Committee

 The consideration of resolutions

 A 1.5-credit CLE seminar: The Ethical Implications of Limited License Legal Technicians in New Jersey

The following members of the New Jersey State Bar Association General Council have complied with acceptable rules and procedures and are now candidates to fill the vacancy on the NJSBA Nominating Committee: 

Norberto A. Garcia (Hudson County)
Nina C. Remson (Bergen County) 

As noted above, an election to fill the vacancy will take place at the October 16 General Council meeting. General Council members who are unable to attend the meeting may vote by absentee ballot. To request an absentee ballot, please contact Christina Pateman at 732-937-7514 or [email protected] Please be advised that anyone who requests an absentee ballot will not be permitted to vote at the General Council meeting on October 16. Absentee ballot requests must be received by: Tuesday, October 13.

Any General Council member may submit a resolution for consideration at the meeting.
