The NJSBA Young Lawyers Division celebrated Law Day this year by taking on the theme of state’s 350th birthday, “New Jersey 350 – innovation, diversity and liberty” for its annual YouTube contest.
Close to 30 entries were submitted by middle and high school students from around the state to mark Law Day 2014, which is celebrated on May 1.
Wayne’s Passaic County Technical Institute repeated last year’s first place win in the high school category and the Dwight David Eisenhower Middle School “Home of the Generals” in Freehold topped this year’s middle school entries.
The video from the Passaic County Technical Institute not only brought in another win for the school, but two members of the team were also on last year’s winning team.
“We are really happy to have won for a second time and appreciate the support that we were given by our classmates and teachers,” said sophomores Lauren Christie and Caitlyn Probst.
The winners will receive awards May 2 at the New Jersey Courts Law Day event in Trenton.
