Seven seek to fill at-large vacancy on NJSBA Board of Trustees

The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Nominating Committee will conduct interviews of seven candidates seeking to fill a vacant at-large seat on the Board of Trustees.

The current vacant at-large trustee seat is specifically designated for an African-American member and is for an unexpired term. At-large trustees are elected from among the membership of the NJSBA to represent segments of the membership not adequately represented on the Board of Trustees.  Article III, 8(f). The selected candidate will serve from the time of nomination until May 2017.

Candidate interviews will be conducted at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick on April 7. A simulcast of the Nominating Committee’s interviews with the candidates will be aired at the Law Center. The committee’s deliberations are confidential, according to the association’s policy and procedures manual, and will not be made available for viewing.
