Founded in 1958, The New Jersey State Bar Foundation is the charitable and educational Foundation of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
The Foundation's mission is to:
- Foster an increased awareness, appreciation and knowledge of law and the legal system among New Jersey residents.
- Serve as the statewide resource for law-related education for the public.
- Provide opportunities for lawyers to serve the public through the Foundation's programs.
- Foster professionalism and pride in the profession of law through public service.
The Foundation does this by offering a free, comprehensive public education program. Among their many public and school-based activities, they present law-related seminars, conduct conflict resolution training, publish law-related materials, operate a video loan library and speakers' bureau, and coordinate elementary, middle and high school mock trial competitions. Explore their site and see how they serve the Public, Educators & Students, and Attorneys.
The Foundation is based at The New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, where many of our events take place.
